JEE Advanced Result 2026: What’s next?
Once IIT Roorkee announces the JEE Advanced 2026 result on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in, candidates will be able to check their scores and ranks. Applicants can also start registering for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling 2026. The counselling process generally includes registration, choice filling and locking, mock seat allotment, round-wise seat allocation, seat acceptance fee payment, document verification and reporting to the allotted institute.
Seats are allotted based on factors such as a candidate’s rank, category, availability of seats and the order of preferences submitted during counselling. During the counselling process, candidates are required to choose one of the seat acceptance options: freeze, float or slide.
