JoSAA 2026: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has begun the JoSAA Counselling 2026 registration and choice-filling process for admission to BTech programmes at various participating engineering colleges. Candidates who have qualified JEE Advanced 2026 can apply for JoSAA Counselling 2026 and fill their choices on the official website at josaa.nic.in.
The counselling authority has also published the JoSAA guidelines, FAQs and seat matrix for BTech seats offered. A total of 56,880 candidates have qualified the JEE Advanced examination for admission to BTech programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, and other IITs.
Of 1,87,389 registered candidates for JEE Advanced 2026, 1,79,694 appeared for both papers. A total of 56,880 candidates qualified, including 10,107 females.
The JEE Advanced 2026 result link is accessible using candidates login details such as JEE Advanced 2026 registration number or roll number, date of birth, and the 10 digit mobile number used during registration.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has declared the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026 result on May 31 at jeeadv.ac.in.
JEE Advanced 2026 qualified candidates will be able to access the JoSAA counselling registration 2026 link from June 2 for admission to 121 institutes, including 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 40 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).
The scorecard for JEE Advanced 2026, held on May 17, for admission to various engineering programmes, contains marks in all three subjects in paper 1 and 2, total marks, and qualifying status in the joint examination, including Common Rank List (CRL), and Category Rank List.

The authority will conduct the JoSAA 2026 counselling in six rounds. The JEE Advanced scores will be accepted by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT BHU, and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, among others.
The JoSAA 2026 cutoff for IITs will be based on JEE Advanced 2026 ranks, while for NITs (National Institute of Technology), IIEST (Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology), IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology), and other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) it will admit candidates based on their JEE Main 2026 ranks.
Arohi Deshpande of IIT Delhi zone emerged as the top female candidate with CRL 77 and 280/360 marks.

JoSAA Counselling 2026 Guidelines: In the event that there are fewer number of seats available under a particular
category in a BTech programme than the number of candidates with the same
category-wise rank seeking admission to the same programme, then all those
candidates will be offered seats by creating requisite number of supernumerary
seats.
