NEW DELHI, APRIL 16: The online mode of JEE Main 2018 Paper I examination has concluded. The two-day examination was conducted on April 15 & 16, 2018 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). JEE Main 2018 Paper I was held in two sessions on April 15 (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM) and in one session on April 16 (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM). Many candidates had opted for the online mode of examination and were present to give the examination. The candidates had to record their responses in online mode in the three hour long examination.
JEE Main 2018 Computer Based Test consisted of 90 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics syllabus. The candidates had to mark the correct answer out of the four options made available for each question. One of the biggest advantages of the online examination is that if the candidates made a mistake in their answer, they were able to rectify it. This option was not available for those candidates who chose offline mode since the answers were marked in OMR sheets. This was one of the most important reasons why the online mode was selected by many candidates.
JEE Main 2018 was conducted to provide a pathway to students for admission into NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. The top 2,24,000 qualified candidates will be eligible for admissions into IITs through JEE Advanced 2018. The result of JEE Main 2018 will be released on April 30, 2018.
