JEE Main 2020 new dates likely for flood affected students; raises questions on JEE Advanced

NEW DELHI : National Testing Agency has accepted an undertaking before Bombay High Court stating that students who are unable to reach the JEE Main exam centres due to Maharashtra flood or problems with transportation and communication will be allowed to send a representation. Candidates can make representation through the local agency to the Apex body of the JEE Main exam. NTA will consider it after making the enquiries from the centre coordinator and the District collector. The decision will be taken within 15 days. JEE Main 2020 dates are September 1 to 6.
JEE Advanced Postponement Possible?
Since NTA has agreed to an undertaking, another question based on the JEE Advanced 2020 has arisen already. Many students on social media are asking, will JEE Advanced be postponed?

Advance dates will be postponed as results of jee main candidates will be extended due to the students who can't give exam in this flood situation the result will see her advance being extended for atleast 20 days when corona will be at peak

IIT Delhi had announced that JEE Advanced 2020 registration will commence from September 11. However, many candidates who will send representation may be allowed to attempt the JEE Main 2020 exam after 15 day. This will lead to delay in the JEE Main result 2020. Note that only those candidates who qualify JEE Main exam are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced. IIT JEE 2020 is scheduled to be held on September 27. Similarly, JoSAA and AAT 2020 dates are expected to get delayed.
