NIT admission process 2021 includes appearing for JEE Main 2021 exam , participating in JOSAA counselling, seat locking and document verification. Aspirants looking for NIT admissions 2021 through JEE Main exam have to apply for JOSAA counselling 2021 from the official website.
Admission in NITs through JEE Main 2021
Step 1: Filling JEE Main 2021 application form
Candidates first need to complete the
JEE Main registration 2021
. After successful registration, applicants need to fill the JEE Main application form. NTA will release the JEE Main April and May application form on the official website.
Step 2: Appearing in JEE Main 2021
Registered applicants have to appear for the JEE Main exam. NTA has successfully conducted JEE Main 2021 for February and March session. However,
JEE Main exam 2021 for April and May session has been postponed
due to the surge in COVID-19 cases. JEE Main 2021 exam date will be announced later on the official website.
Step 3: JOSAA Registration 2021
The next step is to complete JOSAA registration from the official website. Shortlisted candidates have to fill details in the JOSAA 2021 registration form.
Step 4: Allocation and locking of seat
Candidates on the basis of JEE Main rank will be allotted seats in various NITs. Applicants satisfied with the seat allotted to them have to lock the seat and pay the seat acceptance fee in online mode.
Step 5: Document Verification
Candidates allotted seats in JOSAA counselling have to report to the institute for remaining fee payment and document verification.
