Download EBookNEW DELHI: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 candidates are demanding postponement of the exam in view of ongoing protests against the Agnipath scheme, shutting down of internet services, floods, and cancellation of trains. Anxious students are campaigning on social media with hashtag #JEEMains2022 and urging the National Testing Agency (NTA) to defer exam dates as they fear they would be unable to reach exam centres on time.

Meanwhile, NTA has issued JEE Main 2022 admit card for session 1 on its official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Recently, NTA has announced that it will not postpone JEE Main 2022 dates. According to an NTA official, the exam conducting agency is closely monitoring the situation and has no plan to postpone the JEE Main 2022 exam. JEE Main 2022 will be held from June 23 to 29.

A student said on Twitter, “Admit card before one or 2 day for a nation wide exam and the ongoing chaos in the nation is just unbelievable. There are people dying in floods and protest jam roads and cancelled trains. What else do u need? NTA please be responsible.”

A Twitter user said, “It is impossible for the students to reach the examination center in 2 days due to the closure of hundreds of trains and floods in many states. So give relief to the students by postponing the examination.”

Another student addressed Assam chief minister, talked about floods in the state and wrote, “Himanta Biswa Sarma Ji, your state is most affected by the flood, how will the children of your state go to appear in the examination, please help them by requesting NTA and Dharmendra Pradhan for postponing.”
