NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 session 2 day 3 shift 1 exam. The JEE Main 2023 session 2 April 10 exam was held for a duration of 3 hours from 9 am to 12 noon. Students were allowed to carry transparent ballpoint pen, admit card and aadhaar card inside the exam hall. The JEE Main 2023 April session day 3 paper had questions from NCERT.

JEE Main 2023 April 10 question paper subject-wise analysis
As per inputs by Saurabh Kumar, Chief Academics Officer (CAO), Vidyamandir Classes (VMC)-
- Physics- The Physics section had questions from Mechanics, Electrostatics, Optics and Modern physics. There was one question from thermodynamics and waves.
- Chemistry- In Chemistry one question was from chromatography. The questions from organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry dominated more than physical chemistry. There was also one question each of polymers and biomolecules and chemistry in everyday life.
- Mathematics- In the Mathematics section, there was more domination of coordinate geometry and calculus. One question was from mathematical reasoning and statistics.
According to Ramesh Batlish, Managing Partner and Centre Head-FIITJEE Noida-
- Mathematics – The Mathematics section was easy to moderate level. The questions were asked from all chapters, but most of the questions were from algebra and coordinate geometry. There were also questions from Matrices, Determinants, Vectors, 3 D Geometry, Straight Line, Parabola, Circle, Binomial Theorem, Progressions, Mathematical Reasoning, Statistics, Complex Numbers, Definite Integrals and Differential Equations. The numerical section had a few lengthy calculations but was easy.
- Physics – The paper was easy and questions were asked from Gravitation, EM Waves, Wave Optics, Ray Optics, Electrostatics, Magnetism & Matter, Current Electricity and Modern Physics, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work Power Energy, Heat and Thermodynamics, Semi-Conductors, Communication Systems. the MCQs were relatively easy. There were some assertion reasoning questions. Overall it was a balanced section.
- Chemistry – The Chemistry section was easy. Inorganic Chemistry was given more weightage compared to Physical ans Organic Chemistry. Questions asked from Electrochemistry, Ores and Metallurgy, Chemical Bonding, Mole Concept, d – block and f- block, Qualitative Chemistry, and Coordination Compounds. Organic Chemistry had some easy questions about Amines, Alcohols, Phenols. Some questions from Polymers and Environmental Chemistry were NCERT based.
In terms of order of difficulty, Mathematics was easy to moderate while Physics and Chemistry were easy among the three subjects. Overall, the paper was easy level as per students.
