JEE Main 2026 City Slip: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the city intimation slip for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 session 1 exams. Candidates will be able to download the JEE Main 2026 city slip through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA will hold the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam from January 21 to 30.

To download the JEE Main 2026 exam city intimation slip, candidates will have to use their application number and password. The city slip will specify the city where the candidate’s examination centre has been allotted.
NTA has extended the photo verification deadline for non-Aadhaar candidates to January 15. The link to upload the certificate in PDF format has been sent to the candidates' registered email ID.
During the JEE Main 2026 application process, candidates were allowed to choose up to four preferred exam cities from within the states mentioned in their present and permanent addresses. The NTA states that it will try to allot an exam city based on the order of preference submitted in the online application form.
However, due to administrative or logistical constraints, candidates may be allotted a city other than their preferred choice. In cases where the number of candidates from a particular city is very low, NTA may also merge one or more cities for exam purposes.
Registration for JEE Advanced 2026 will open for candidates who qualify for JEE Main 2026. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will conduct the computer-based examination on May 17, 2026. As per the schedule, the registration window will be open from April 23 to May 2 on jeeadv.ac.in, admit cards will be released on May 11, and results will be declared on June 1.

As per the Joint Implementation Committee (JIC) 2025 report by IIT Kanpur, the most preferred course for students at IIT Bombay was Computer Science Engineering (CSE), followed by Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EE and ME). A total of 28,705 candidates chose the BTech CSE programme for 4-year BTech admissions, while another 24,123 selected EE, and 21,412 choose ME.
