The JEE Mains 2025 January 24 exam is being held in two shifts. The second shift started at 3 pm and will end at 6 pm.
As per students’ reactions and coaching expert analysis, the JEE Main 2025 January 24 shift 1 exam was overall moderate in difficulty level. The mathematics section was again rated hard and lengthy. Students found the physics section comparatively easy.

The duration of the JEE Mains exam is three hours. As per the JEE Main exam pattern 2025, the question paper comprises two sections – section A and section B. Each section contains multiple choice questions on physics, chemistry, and mathematics. While section A includes 20 questions each, section B has five questions each. Candidates are required to attempt a total of 75 questions carrying overall 300 marks.
According to the JEE Main 2025 marking scheme, candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer. One mark will be deducted for each wrong response.
