JKBS adds simulation gaming in selection process for upcoming PGDM batch

NEW DELHI: In a first, JK Business School, or JKBS, will assess a candidate’s analytical skills through a business-simulation gaming session for the upcoming batch of postgraduate diploma of management.
The simulation gaming will allow the candidates to analyse their analytical skills, thinking and problem-solving approach across various functional areas of business processes.
“He/she will be required to play the game for one day. The focus will be to test the critical thinking, analytical ability, ability to understand and apply basic business concepts,” the official statement said.
The selection process would also weigh in CAT 2020 scores, written ability test (WAT), group discussion and personal interview. The performance in business simulation gaming will carry a weightage of 20 percent.
The program has been divided into six trimesters, spread over two years, with a summer internship of two months in between the two years. Students interested in the course can apply on or before January 30, 2021, on the official website.
Eligibility criteria
Anyone with a three-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with at least 50 percent marks will be eligible to apply for the two-year course.
Students in their final year of bachelor’s degree can also apply provided they complete all formalities of their examinations before the month of September. Such candidates will be granted provisional admission.
Candidates should have appeared and qualified any of the competitive management aptitude exams such as CAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/ XLRI/GMAT and their equivalent. The validity of scores of such exams is for one year only.
The application fee is Rs 1000 and the fee structure for the course is Rs 5, 99,100 and Rs 10,000 refundable security deposit.
