NEW DELHI: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) will close the registration process for the recruitment of various Sub-Inspectors (SIs) in the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) home department today, January 2, 2025. Eligible candidates can fill out the JKSSB SI 2024 application form through the official website at, jkssb.nic.in.
Candidates from scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST-1 and ST-2), and economically weaker sections (EWS) categories, will have to pay an application fee of Rs 600. Candidates from other categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 700. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 669 sub-inspector vacancies in the home department.
The board has not yet announced the JKSSB SI 2024 exam date. “The J&K Services Selection Board shall notify the dates for examination and the Venue/Centre(s) of examination separately. The details shall be made available on the website of the Board jkssb.nic.in. No representation/request for change in this regard shall be entertained, whatsoever be the reason,” the official notice read.

JKSSB SI recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the JKSSB SI recruitment exam 2024 given below.

Domicile: Candidates who want to apply for the JKSSB SI recruitment exam 2024 should have a domicile certificate issued by the competent authority on the prescribed format on or before the cut-off date i.e. last date of submission of online application forms, which, unless otherwise extended, shall be January 2, 2025.

Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years old and 28 years old and should have been born between January 1, 1996, to January 1, 2006.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written exam, Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET).
