Notably, students who are yet to appear in Class 12 or equivalent examination are eligible to apply, the notification read.

For admission to COP programmes, students must have Class 12 passing certificate or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.

“Candidates who have obtained their Higher Secondary Certificate under the 10+1 pattern of education will be eligible for admission to the COP programmes if they have successfully completed the First-Year of Bachelor's degree examination of a University under 10+1+3 pattern of education with the prescribed percentage of marks, i.e., 45%,” the notice states.

JNU admission guidelines in case of tie

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category candidates have not less than 5% seats reserved, where “person with benchmark disability” means a person with not less than forty percent (40%) of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability, as certified by the certifying authority, the university said.

Furthermore, all OBC (NCL) category candidates are eligible for a 10% relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination in relation to the open category.

The university will admit students on the basis of merit as the number of seats are limited. There will not be any viva voce examination for admission to BA, BSc, and COP programmes.

In case of tie, candidates will be given admission on the basis of marks obtained in Class 12 examination. While, if there is a bunching in UG and COP programmes, merits shall be drawn on the basis of higher marks obtained in the CUET and JEE Mains.

Similarly, for further cases of tie, the higher marks secured by the candidate in Class 10 will be considered. Notably, those candidates whose result has been declared, would be given preference over those whose result has not been declared.
