JoSAA will conduct couselling process for JEE qualifiers, offering  62,853 engineering seats across IITs, NITS, IIITs, and other government-funded colleges. Last increase, the total number of seats offered in IITs was 17,760. This year, there has been an increase in the number of seats available for IIT admissions to 18,160.

By recognising the challenges faced by north-eastern students who do not secure a seat through JoSSA counselling, CSAB will hold a special round of counselling for NIT+ admissions. CSAB-North Eastern States and Some of Union Territories (CSAB-NEUT) counselling will be held to allocate seats in AICTE-approved colleges. Additionally, around 2000 seats are expected to be available under state quotas for NITS, IIITs, and GFTIs within the north eastern state, along with over 700 seats under the NEUT category.

JoSAA counselling 2025 for round 3 schedule is as follows. 

The round 2 schedule of JoSAA counselling 2025 is given below. 

NIT Rourkela will host the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) along with Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) counselling. NIT Rourkela will offer students a multilingual helpdesk and nationwide support centres for the JEE qualifiers 2025. The multilingual helpdesk is accessible in Assamese, Bengali, English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, and Telugu languages. Additionally, a total of 53 help centres have been established to assist candidates.

The list of documents required for JoSAA Counselling 2025 for admission to IITs is as follows. 

• Provisional seat allotment letter
• Two passport-size photographs identical to the one uploaded during the JEE Advanced 2025 registration
• Undertaking by the candidate
• Proof of seat acceptance fee payment by e-challan or net banking of SBI (Rs.15,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates and Rs.30,000 for others)
• Valid photo identity card
• JEE Advanced 2025 admit card
• Date of birth proof (10th Standard mark sheet)
• 12th Standard (or equivalent) mark sheet and pass certificate
• Medical certificate
• Category certificate (if applicable)
• Certificate for PwD (if applicable)
• Passport (for foreign nationals) of candidates & parents or OCI certificate or PIO card (if applicable)
• DS certificate (if applicable)
• Registration cum locked choices for seat allotment
