Try NowThe Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) closed admissions to its BTech in Artificial Intelligence (AI) programmes at a closing rank of 839 through JoSAA counselling last year, setting one of the most competitive AI programmes for engineering aspirants. IIT Hyderabad’s open category closed its BTech AI admissions at 823 in 2025, 852 in 2024, 875 in 2023, and 783 in 2022, indicating high demand among engineering students.

JoSAA Counselling 2026 round 4 seat allotment tomorrow
The female-only supernumerary seats in the open category recorded the closing ranks at higher numbers, with IIT Kharagpur closing at 2901, IIT Hyderabad at 2515, and IIT Gandhinagar at 5140 last year.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has declared the round 3 seat allotment results 2026 for admission to various BTech programmes for the academic years 2026-27.
Engineering aspirants can access the JoSAA counselling 2026 seat allotment list by entering their login details such as Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main application number, and password.
The authority will declare the JoSAA seat allotment result 2026 for round 4 tomorrow, July 10 for BTech admissions.
