NEW DELHI : The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued the second stray vacancy round schedule for the allotment of seats under the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling 2024. Accordingly, candidates will have to make payment of caution deposit between March 13 and 15 through the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

As per the eligibility criteria, the following students are eligible to participate in the Karnataka NEET PG counselling 2024 second stray vacancy round:
- Candidates who are not holding the seat allotted in the first or second round of KEA, MCC or other state counselling;
- Candidates who were not allotted a seat in round 3 or in the stray vacancy round either through KEA or by MCC; (cancelled / not holding the pre / para clinical seat can participate)
- Candidates who were not allotted a seat in the special stray vacancy round of MCC
- Candidates, who have newly registered, verified and deposited the original documents at KEA.
Applicants will be required to pay a caution fee of Rs 5 lakh to participate in the counselling. If a candidate gets the PG medical seat, the caution money will be adjusted towards the fee. The amount will be forfeited if a candidate fails to pay the fee or report to the allotted college, or take admission or likes to cancel the seat. Such a student will also have to pay the penalty amount as per rules and will be barred from participating in the counselling including AIQ in the coming year.
“Deposition of original documents is mandatory to become eligible to participate in the Second Stray Vacancy Round. Candidates who have verified the documents and holding verification slip but did not deposit the original documents can deposit on 14-03-2025 (from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm). (Deposition is only by candidates in person, no one can represent the candidate),” said KEA in the official notice.
The authorities asked all eligible and interested candidates to enter the options afresh in the order of priority as the previously filled options will not be considered. Participants will have to verify and confirm the fee before entering the options. “Enter options you wish to join and by keeping in mind the penalty to be paid as per norms in case you fail to join / cancel,” it added.
