NEW DELHI: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) declared the revised Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2022) October 1. As per the revised KCET rank list 2022, there is not much drop in rankings for freshers in the Karnataka engineering entrance exam 2022.
There are no changes in the rank group of 1 to 500. However, 14 students from the 2021 batch secured a rank between 501 and 1,000. Earlier, only one repeater had a rank within 1,000, the Karnataka education minister Ashwathnarayan CN said.
Between 501 and 10,000, there are 2,063 repeaters who have found ranks. As per various reports, the KCET 2022 counselling was expected to begin today, October 3 and option entry is likely to start on October 7. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
“Seat allocation for UGCET-2022 will be done based on this list. The merit list for the candidates who have qualified in the 2022 supplementary examination will be announced at a later date,” he added.
Candidates who appeared in KCET 2022 exam held on June 16 and 17 will be able to check their revised KCET ranking by entering their registration number and password on the candidate login window at kea.kar.nic.in.
The revised UGCET 2022 results is based on the Karnataka High Court order that suggested to follow the formula recommended by a technical committee to redo Common Entrance Test rankings for this year. The order came after students challenged the KEA decision to not consider the 2020-21 PU marks for entrance to professional courses in KCET 2022 on August first week.
