NEW DELHI: Kerala Pareekshabhavan has declared the Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (Kerala SSLC) results 2025 for over 4.27 lakh students. Currently, there are no minimum passing marks for Kerala SSLC public exam 2025. Students obtaining less than 20 marks in any subject will be marked under the ‘Needs Improvement” category. Kerala Class 10 public exam 2025 was held between March 3 to March 26. Students scoring a minimum of 30 to 39 marks will fall under the marginal category and those with marks 40 to 29 will be treated as average performers.

There has been no fixed Kerala SSLC passing marks, mainly to avoid failing students and providing them a second chance in the same year, thereby reducing dropout rates. The Kerala SSLC supplementary exams are likely to be held in June for students scoring below 20 marks.

However, the Kerala education minister V Sivankutty in June last year advocated for the introduction of “subject minimum marks” to improve the academic quality in the state. He also raised concerns that the lack of pass marks and no-detention policy will put students of Kerala at a disadvantage in national-level entrance exams.

Subsequently, in August, the education minister announced that the Class 10 students will have to obtain the minimum Kerala SSLC passing marks from the academic year 2026-27 to clear the public exam.
