MAH BEd CET 2026 exams for 1.1 lakh aspirants begin today: State Cell

Maharashtra State Cell will conduct the MAH BEd CET 2026 until March 29 for a total of 110,042 students across 36 districts in the state.
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell will conduct the MAH Bachelor of Education (BEd), covering both general and special education, as well as BEd English Language Content Test (ELCT) courses, for the academic year 2026-27, starting today, March 27. A total of 110,042 students are set to appear for the Mah BEd CET 2026 till March 29 across the state.
Among those registered for this year's MAH BEd CET 2026, 8 transgender, 438 orphan students, and 689 Persons with Disabilities (PWD) students are set to appear for the BEd entrance test.
Last year, 116,585 students registered for the Mah BEd CET entrance exam. This CET for the BEd courses will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The CET entrance exam is being conducted at various centers across all 36 districts of Maharashtra state.
MAH BEd CET Registrations: Falling trends
As per the State Cell’s update, the Mah BEd CET registration for the academic year 2026-27 has slightly declined compared to the previous session. Student Registrations for the Mah BEd entrance exam over the last four years are shown below.

MAH BEd CET 2026 Pattern, Marking Scheme
Maharahstra State Cell will conduct MAH BEd CET 2026 in a computer-based test (CBT) mode in English and Marathi mediums for a duration of 90 minutes. The paper comprises 100 marks with three sections, including mental ability, general knowledge, and teaching aptitude.
Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer, and there’s no negative marking for incorrect answers. MAH BEd CET 2026 is held for students aspiring to take admission in the BEd colleges of the state through their entrance marks.
