Maharashtra hikes fees private medical colleges; NKP Salve Institute's MBBS fee up by Rs 1.67 lakh

Maharashtra NEET Counselling: Maharashtra has revised the MBBS and MD fee structure for private medical colleges, including VIMS Palghar, NKP Salve Medical College Nagpur, VPMC Nashik and ARMCH Solapur, for the academic year 2026-27. Notably, the NKP Salve Medical College has recorded the highest one-year fee increase, at Rs 1.67 lakh for MBBS admissions.

Similarly, VIMS Palghar's one-year fee has risen by Rs 1.56 lakh, followed by VPMC Nashik at Rs 1.20 lakh, while ARMCH Solapur recorded the lowest increase at Rs 1.03 lakh.

Maharashtra MBBS admissions are based entirely on the NEET UG exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). After the NEET results 2026 are announced, seats are allotted through centralised counseling based on your NEET rank, cutoff scores, and category.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counselling for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), central and deemed universities, while state authorities manage counselling for the remaining 85% state quota seats. The state quota seats allotment process is conducted by Maharashtra State CET Cell through the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP).

NEET SS fee structure for NKP Salve Medical Institute

Furthermore, the fee structure for NEET SS courses at NKP Salve Medical College, Nagpur, has also been revised. Last year, the fee for a one-year super-speciality course was Rs 12,36,000. After the revision, it has increased by Rs 1.48 lakh to Rs 13,84,500 per academic year.

Admissions to DM, MCh, and DrNB super-specialty courses require qualifying the NEET SS 2026 entrance exam conducted by NBEMS, followed by a centralised counselling process. After passing the NEET SS exam, students have to register for seat allotment through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
