Admissions are open for Delhi Schools of Specialised Excellence: Manish Sisodia

Education minister Manish Sisodia announced on Friday that Delhi SoSEs are taking admissions now for Classes 9 and 11. The last day to apply is August 19.
NEW DELHI: Education Minister Manish Sisodia announced today that admissions are open for Delhi Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSEs) affiliated to the new Delhi Board of School Education ( DBSE ) in partnership with International Baccalaureate (IB) board, through social media. Students can apply online at the official website edudel.nic.in/sose.
“Happy to announce that admissions are open for Delhi Schools of Specialised Excellence . A community of young people with special aptitudes and skills is being created at these schools. Students can apply online through the official website, http://edudel.nic.in/sose ,” Manish Sisodia said on Twitter.

Admissions are open for Classes 9 and 11 in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) schools and for Class 9 in other schools. The last day to apply for admission is August 19, 2021. The SoSEs are choice-based schools and there are a total of 120 seats per school.
Recently, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and education minister Manish Sisodia signed an agreement with the International Baccalaureate (IB) board to teach IB curriculum in all SoSEs.
Delhi government also issued guidelines on admissions to Schools of Specialised Excellence which included 50% reservation of seats for government schools’ students, eligibility criteria, information on aptitude tests, and more.
