NEW DELHI : The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2024 will not be conducted on May 5 for the PCM group as the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) is scheduled for that date, the state CET cell informed through the official website. The MHT CET 2024 is scheduled from May 2 to 16 for engineering aspirants. The cell said that revised dates for the engineering group will be announced soon.
“All students and parents should note that MHT CET (PCM Group) exam will not be conducted on 05-05-2024 as NEET UG exam is on 05-05-2024. Revised dates will be announced soon,” the official website read.
Recently, the CET cell revised the exam dates for the physics, chemistry, and mathematics group as well as the physics, chemistry, and biology (PCB) group likely to avoid clashes with the Lok Sabha general elections 2024. Now, the PCB exam has been rescheduled to April 22-30. Earlier, the Maharashtra CET exam 2024 for both PCM and PCB group was scheduled to be held from April 16 to April 30.
Applicants were allowed to edit their MHT CET 2024 application form from March 20 to March 22. The board gave the opportunity after noticing that some of the candidates made various types of mistakes while registering for the exam.
The MHT CET exam 2024 for both PCM and PCB group will be conducted online in two shifts – first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and second shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. MHT CET 2024 PCM exam will be held for candidates seeking admission to engineering and technology and BPlanning programmes while the PCB exam is for candidates seeking admission to pharmacy or pharm D degree courses.
