NEW DELHI: Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has decided to evaluate Class 10 students as per the CBSE norms, according to a Times Now News report. The decision was taken due to the increased number of COVID-19 cases in the state. The Board is also expected to soon take a decision on Class 12 examination.

“MP Board will follow the evaluation criteria which would be decided for Class 10 by the CBSE. Based on the decision, it can be suggested that the board would not be conducting the Class 10 Board examinations 2021. The MP Board Class 10 result will be based on the internal assessment,” the report stated.

Any mode of evaluation will be made for students to make things easier, to avoid any difficulties while seeking admissions out of the state. The internal assessment criteria will be similar to that of CBSE.

The decision on the MP Board Class 12 examination will be taken soon. It is expected that these exams will be held in offline mode after the situation normalizes. For now, MP Board exams 2021 have been postponed till June 2021.

What is CBSE Class 10 evaluation criteria?

The Class 10 students will be promoted on the basis of CBSE objective criterion. The marks will be evaluated by combining the practical examination performance and internal assessment. CBSE will make a proper plan for objective criterion to evaluate the marks and to promote the students.
