MSBSHSE declares Maharashtra HSC 12th Result 2018; overall pass percentage plunges by 1 per cent

NEW DELHI, MAY 30: Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced Maharashtra HSC 12th result 2018 for Arts, Science and Commerce streams. Earlier the result was announced in a press conference at 11 am, whereas now, it’s available on the official website of MSBSHSE (from 1 pm). As per media reports, the overall pass percentage has recorded a fall of 1.09% as compared to last year. The overall pass percentage this year is 88.41%, whereas last year it stood at 89.50%. Surpassing the other districts of the state, Konkan district has emerged as the district with the highest pass percentage of 94.85%.
This year, girl students have faired better than the boys in the state level 12th examination. Out of the total girls who had taken the test, 92.36% have cleared the exam, while the overall pass percentage of boys is 85.23%.
Apart from the other candidates (who can check their result online), the state education board has also made a provision for BSNL users who can check their result through SMS. In order to check their 12th result, BSNL users have to type MHHSC (space) (seat number) and send it to 57766.
Candidates can send their application for revaluation of marks and photocopies of answer sheets from May 31, a day after the exam result is declared. However, candidates have to send the applications for revaluation in the prescribed format, which will be available on the official website. For revaluation, candidates have to send the self-attested copies of their mark sheet to the board’s office between May 31 to June 9, 2018.
As many as 14.85 lakh students had appeared the state level 12th examination this year, which was held from February 21 to March 20, 2018 in offline mode. Out of the total appeared candidates, around 5.8 lakh had taken the test in Science stream, while around 4.79 lakh had appeared in Commerce stream. The total number of candidates who had taken 12th test in Arts stream stood at 3.66 lakh, while the remaining had appeared in the Vocational stream.
