Mumbai University announces revised dates for exams postponed amid rain

Students of Semester 1 of MA, MSc and MSc (Research) will have to appear for the pending exam on August 11.
NEW DELHI: The University of Mumbai has notified the revised dates of exams of various programmes that were postponed due to downpour on July 27.
The University said the pending exams of second year BBA LLB students of both Semester 3 and 4 will be held on August 8. The exams of BPEd and MPEd which were postponed on July 27 will now be held on August 1. Students of Semester 1 of MA, MSc and MSc (Research) will have to appear for the pending exam on August 11.

The remaining papers of various programmes will be conducted on August 5, the notification read. The university has informed the director of Institute of Distance and Open Learning, heads of various university departments, principals of affiliated colleges and co-coordinators of all the sub-centres it added.
The University of Mumbai had postponed 15 exams due to heavy rain last Thursday. Additionally, the exams of January session of first and second year students of Institute of Distance and Open Learning were also postponed. The university had also declared holiday for its affiliated college on July 27.
Along with the University of Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had also declared a holiday for all government and private schools and colleges on July 27. The decision was taken after the Indian Meteorological Department had issued a "red alert" for the metropolis on Thursday.
