MU extends special facilitation camp to address APAAR, ABC IDs, Aadhaar authentication issues

The Mumbai University has made APAAR ID mandatory for generating hall tickets for the examination 2026-27. Students without an APAAR ID will not be issued hall tickets, as per the notice.
The University of Mumbai has extended its special facilitation camp to assist students with creating their Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) IDs, linking their Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) IDs and completing Aadhaar authentication.
Students can attend the special facilitation camp at the at the Alkesh Dinesh Modi Institute for Financial and Management Studies on the Mumbai University’s Kalina campus until August 21.
The camp is being organised in coordination with the Director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation, the notice read.
More than 800 students visited the camp on August 19 to resolve issues related to their APAAR ID , ABC ID linking and Aadhaar authentication, according to an official notice.
The university has set up the special facilitation camp to resolve technical and registration-based issues faced by students.

“Students can get assistance with creating an APAAR ID, linking their APAAR ID with their ABC ID , Aadhaar authentication, discrepancies in Aadhaar-linked mobile numbers, differences in names or dates of birth, and other Aadhaar-related issues,” the university said.
Notably, the university has made APAAR ID mandatory for generating hall tickets for the examination 2026-27. Students without an APAAR ID will not be issued hall tickets, the university said.
The university has urged students who have not yet created their APAAR ID or are facing difficulties with APAAR ID, ABC ID linking or Aadhaar authentication to visit the special facilitation camp by August 21.
Students have been advised to carry their Aadhaar card and all relevant documents and details required to resolve their issues.
The university has also asked affiliated and autonomous colleges and university departments to inform students about the camp and ensure maximum participation.
Recently, the university’s board of examinations and evaluation, management council, and academic council announced that it was mandatory for students to be present in the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exams.
