The 8-week NIIT Foundation-UNICEF course will be run in Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Odisha; learners will receive certification from NCVET and NSDC

YuWaah at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has launched an open online course on digital marketing in collaboration with NIIT Foundation, under the campaign banner “#NayiDigitalDisha”. This is an endeavour towards a 100% skilled nation by 2047, as per an official statement.
The NIIT Foundation-run course is of an eight-week duration and is currently being implemented in Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Odisha. Successful participants will receive “National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET)-assessed and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)-certified credentials” from YuWaah, UNICEF, and NIIT Foundation.
The course content has been curated by NIIT Foundation, with its experience of driving skill development across India.
The NIIT Foundation digital marketing course is developed to make vocational education accessible to youth from underserved communities and rural areas. The certificate course will enable youth to establish and find careers while implementing marketing strategies using the internet and social media.
Bhavya Yadav, a student of the NIIT Foundation course, stated: “Before joining the open online course, I had never thought digital marketing could be a career path for me. Training enabled me to secure jobs in places such as Just Dial and Accord International.”

The UNICEF digital marketing course will also equip learners with skills for sourcing customers for organisations, while continuously enhancing their “professional and technical competencies”. According to the official statement, the course aims to “help participants secure quality employment, and improve their overall quality of life”.
The digital marketing course is scheduled to run for a period of six months, reaching over 500 youth.
Speaking about the digital skills course, Charu Kapoor, country director, NIIT Foundation, said, “This programme is a step toward equipping India’s youth with real-world digital skills that will help them thrive in a tech-driven economy.”
