Travelling restrictions faced by the aspirants
About 4,000 candidates who registered for the NEET entrance examination from Qatar in the Middle East have been facing trouble getting their documents attested from the Embassy of India in Qatar. And since, COVID 19 is still on the rise, many candidates are finding it difficult to travel internationally. Concern over 21 days of Quarantine accompanied by each aspirant who will travel internationally have also been pointed out by the candidates.
Prayers filed in the petition earlier
Acknowledging the problems faced by overseas aspirants, two prayers were filed in the plea earlier- an appeal to the Union of India to allocate NEET examinations centres in Qatar and other Middle-East countries and, if that is not possible, an appeal to postpone the NEET examination until the COVID 19 situation is normalised.
