NEET Result 2025 LIVE: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) results on June 14 for around 20 lakh candidates. The NEET UG result link will be hosted on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates are required to key in their application number and password to download the NEET UG scorecard.

The NTA held the NEET exam on May 4 in pen-paper mode. The provisional NEET UG answer key for test booklet code 45, 46, 47, and 48 was issued on June 3, and challenges against it were accepted till June 5. Candidates were required to pay an objection fee of Rs 200 to raise challenges against the answer key. This year, the NTA also provided a facility to raise objections against the questions as well.
The subject experts will review the objections and prepare the final answer key. The NEET UG result and rank list will be published based on the final answer key. The NEET cut-off for All India Quota (AIQ) seats will also be announced for MBBS, BDS admissions.
After the NEET results 2025 are declared, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET UG counselling 2025 for 15% AIQ seats. Students who have obtained the minimum cut-off will be able to take part.

As per last year’s NEET cut-off, the minimum qualifying marks was 720-162 for general category, and 163-129 for SC, ST, and OBC-NCL.

The Ayush Admissions Central Counselling (AACCC) will be conducting the NEET UG counselling 2025 for admission to Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy. To be eligible for admission, candidates should have attained 17 years as of December of the exam year.
As per the eligibility criteria, general category candidates should have obtained 50% in physics, chemistry, biology, and English in Class 12. Students belonging to SC and ST should have secured at least 40%.
A total of 17 candidates bagged rank 1 in the NEET UG results last year. Initially, an unprecedented number of 61 candidates topped the exam raising suspicion. After reports and court proceedings over paper leak allegations, irregularities in the exam, the NTA was directed to revise the results as per the Supreme Court order.
There are a total of 1,18,190 MBBS seats in India. Of which, 1,15,250 seats, ie, 97.5%, were filled in the academic year 2024-25. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the NEET UG counselling 2025 to allot 15% of the AIQ MBBS, BDS seats.
In a recent controversy, Farheen Khan, an MBBS aspirant, has alleged that she was denied entry inside the NEET UG exam centre for wearing a hijab. She was allotted PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya in Garden Reach, Kolkata .
The NTA conducted the exam on May 4. As per the NEET dress code, candidates are allowed to wear religious attire. However, they are required to reach the exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam timing to complete the frisking and verification process.

Among the new changes, now admission to physiotherapy courses will be mandatory through the NEET UG entrance exam. Students are also required to undergo a one-year internship following their graduation, in MBBS, and extending the course duration from the usual four to five years. The Maharashtra NEET counselling process is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, which serves as the state counselling authority. Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme in 2025 will have to qualify NEET UG. The Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) conducts the counselling for BAMS seats under the All India Quota and other categories, including state, private, central, and NRI quotas. Only candidates meeting the NEET BAMS cut-off will be eligible to participate in the counselling.

A NEET 2025 score of 400 can make a candidate eligible for admission to certain private or state medical and dental colleges, depending on the cut-offs. However, for admission to government medical colleges or institutes like AIIMS, a score of 600 and above is usually required.

One NEET UG 2025 question has drawn attention for having two correct answers, causing confusion among candidates. The question, numbered 63 in test booklet 45, corresponds to different numbers in other sets. Students and teachers raised concerns, but NTA has clarified that if more than one option is correct, candidates who marked any correct option will get full marks. If all options are correct, all who attempted the question will get full marks. If none is correct, marks will be given to all, regardless of the attempt.

The previous year’s NEET cut-offs for Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, were released in the form of opening and closing ranks. For the MBBS course based on NEET UG rank under the All India Quota, the opening rank was 58 and the closing rank was 145. Under the Delhi University quota, the opening rank was 108 and the closing rank was 1,461.

Rajasthan police have arrested a final-year AIIMS Jodhpur student and a doctor for allegedly using a "dummy candidate" to clear NEET-UG 2020. Officials said Sachin Gora, who scored 667 marks, did not appear for the exam himself. Instead, a doctor, Ajit Gora, is suspected to have written the test for him. Another doctor, Subhash Saini, now a health officer in Ghatwa, has been detained for allegedly facilitating the Rs 60-lakh deal.

The NEET UG question paper 2025 had 180 questions carrying 720 marks. As per the marking scheme, four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, one mark will be deducted for every wrong response, and zero marks for unanswered questions.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed the NTA to declare the NEET UG results 2025 for all candidates except for 11 centres in Indore. The order comes after a petition was filed by aspirants claiming that their performance was impacted due to power outage at the centre.

A total of 27% of seats in every course is reserved for OBC candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC- NCL). NEET UG results 2025 will be announced on June 14. Around 20 lakh candidates will be able to download their rank card from the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.
"Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Provisional Answer Key will be revised. The responses will be accordingly evaluated based on final answer key and will be used in preparing and declaring the result," the NTA said.

The NTA launched new official website for NEET UG 2025 - neet.nta.nic.in. The NEET UG result 2025 updates along with toppers, cut-off, and minimum qualifying marks will be announced on the official portal.
