The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) exam every year for medical aspirants seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and BSc Nursing programmes.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET UG 2025 counselling for qualified candidates. The NEET UG cut-off (previous year) of government medical colleges for MBBS courses can be checked from the table given below.

MP High Court has put a hold on NEET UG result 2025 temporarily over power outage during the exam at a NEET UG exam centre 2025 in Madhya Pradesh. A bench of Justice Subodh Abhyankar gave the order on a plea regarding power failure at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1.

Two staff were arrested during the NEET UG 2025 exam for allegedly asking a candidate to remove a sacred thread before entering the exam hall following his complaint. An FIR was also registered. 

NTA will cancel a candidate's NEET UG result 2025 in the following cases: 

• NEET UG 2025 results of the candidates who indulge in Unfair Means (UFM) practices will be cancelled and will not be declared.
• The result of those candidates who appeared from the exam centre other than the one allotted to them, write on the test booklet or OMR sheet of other candidates or allow other candidates to write on their answer sheet will be cancelled (and will not be declared).

UIDAI 'successfully' conducted Aadhaar-based face authentication trial during NEET UG 2025 exam in New Delhi. During the trial, Aadhaar-based face recognition technology was deployed at select NEET UG exam centres 2025 in New Delhi.

The NTA will upload the NEET UG scorecard 2025 on the official websites. NEET UG is the single-largest medical entrance exam with around 20 lakh candidates vying for MBBS, BDS seats. The NTA official website may crash due to the heavy traffic. However, students will be able to check their results on the official websites.

The NEET rank 2025 will be used to offer admission to Ayurvedic courses in government colleges for the academic year 2025-26. The NEET UG cut-off for Ayurveda courses in Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Bengaluru is given below, as per last year's closing ranks.

The NEET opening and closing rank for Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi is 58-145, according to last year’s MCC counselling allotment results. The medical college offers 250 seats for its MBBS programme. 

The MBBS course and all related exams will be conducted as per the rules and regulations set by the Delhi University. Students after qualifying the final MBBS exam must register provisionally with the Delhi Medical Council to be considered for the compulsory internship programme, the official statement read.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the NEET UG results 2025 tentatively on June 14. As per past trends, the NTA announces NEET results in the evening or after midnight. The NEET UG official website is neet.nta.nic.in. 

The Ayush Admissions Central Counselling (AACCC) will be conducting the NEET UG counselling 2025 for admission to Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy. To be eligible for admission, candidates should have attained 17 years as of December of the exam year. 

As per the eligibility criteria, general category candidates should have obtained 50% in physics, chemistry, biology, and English in Class 12. Students belonging to SC and ST should have secured at least 40%. 

A total of 17 candidates bagged rank 1 in the NEET UG results last year. Initially, an unprecedented number of 61 candidates topped the exam raising suspicion. After reports and court proceedings over paper leak allegations, irregularities in the exam, the NTA was directed to revise the results as per the Supreme Court order.   

There are a total of 1,18,190 MBBS seats in India. Of which, 1,15,250 seats, ie, 97.5%, were filled in the academic year 2024-25. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the NEET UG counselling 2025 to allot 15% of the AIQ MBBS, BDS seats.

In a recent controversy, Farheen Khan, an MBBS aspirant, has alleged that she was denied entry inside the NEET UG exam centre for wearing a hijab. She was allotted PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya in Garden Reach, Kolkata .

The NTA conducted the exam on May 4. As per the NEET dress code, candidates are allowed to wear religious attire. However, they are required to reach the exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam timing to complete the frisking and verification process.

The NTA announced the tentative result date for NEET UG 2025 in the information brochure. As per the schedule, the NEET results 2025 will be declared on June 14 on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG result 2025 "likely on weekend", according to a Times of India reporter. 

A question in NEET 2025 question paper left candidates confused with students and parents claiming that it has two correct answers and is in violation of the exam policy. However, NTA already has a rule that in case a question has multiple answers, then full four marks will be awarded to the candidates.

There are a total of 2,044 MBBS seats across the 20 All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in India, as per various sources. AIIMS colleges will accept NEET UG 2025 scores for admissions to their undergraduate medical courses.

The NEET medical entrance exam is, must-sought-after MBBS course after Class 12. NEET Result 2025 on June 14 | The Karnataka government urged the National Medical Commission (NMC) to increase the medical seats across the country. The minister for medical education and skill development, Sharan Prakash Patil sent a proposal to the NMC seeking approval for an additional 800 undergraduate and 600 postgraduate medical seats in Karnataka.

According to the students' reaction, the NEET 2025 paper was moderate in difficulty level. The physics section was difficult, like last year; however, students rated the chemistry and biology sections easier.

Among the new changes, now admission to physiotherapy courses will be mandatory through the NEET UG entrance exam. Students are also required to undergo a one-year internship following their graduation, in MBBS, and extending the course duration from the usual four to five years. The physiotherapy graduates can now attach a ‘Dr’ to their names, but with a ‘PT’ suffix, to distinguish themselves from PhD and medical graduates.

Students who appeared for NEET UG 2025 can estimate their probable rank based on their performance in the NEET entrance exam. As per new regulations, medical aspirants can take admission to the bachelor of homoeopathic medicine and surgery (BHMS) course even if they studied in an open school or appeared for board exams as a private student. Additionally, students who opted for biotechnology in the place of biology in Class 12 are also eligible for admisison.

In NEET, a candidate's category rank indicates their performance relative to other candidates within their specific reservation category. Therefore, if a candidate belongs to the general category, their category rank reflects their standing among all other general category candidates who took the exam.

Medical aspirants from the OBC category can check the NEET cut-off trends from the table given below.

Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme in 2025 will have to qualify NEET UG. The Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) conducts the counselling for BAMS seats under the All India Quota and other categories, including state, private, central, and NRI quotas. Only candidates meeting the NEET BAMS cut-off will be eligible to participate in the counselling.

A NEET 2025 score of 400 can make a candidate eligible for admission to certain private or state medical and dental colleges, depending on the cut-offs. However, for admission to government medical colleges or institutes like AIIMS, a score of 600 and above is usually required.

The previous year’s NEET cut-offs for Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, were released in the form of opening and closing ranks. For the MBBS course based on NEET UG rank under the All India Quota, the opening rank was 58 and the closing rank was 145. Under the Delhi University quota, the opening rank was 108 and the closing rank was 1,461.

Medical aspirants seeking admission to the MBBS government colleges through NEET-UG score can check the previous years' cut-off trends from the table below.

Rajasthan police have arrested a final-year AIIMS Jodhpur student and a doctor for allegedly using a "dummy candidate" to clear NEET-UG 2020. Officials said Sachin Gora, who scored 667 marks, did not appear for the exam himself. Instead, a doctor, Ajit Gora, is suspected to have written the test for him. Another doctor, Subhash Saini, now a health officer in Ghatwa, has been detained for allegedly facilitating the Rs 60-lakh deal.

The NEET UG question paper 2025 had 180 questions carrying 720 marks. As per the marking scheme, four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, one mark will be deducted for every wrong response, and zero marks for unanswered questions. 

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed the NTA to declare the NEET UG results 2025 for all candidates except for 11 centres in Indore. The order comes after a petition was filed by aspirants claiming that their performance was impacted due to power outage at the centre.

A total of 27% of seats in every course is reserved for OBC candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC- NCL). As per the last years' NEET cut-off trends, an OBC candidate with NEET UG rank below 14000 has a higher chance of getting admission to MBBS course in the top 20 medical colleges in India.

"Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Provisional Answer Key will be revised. The responses will be accordingly evaluated based on final answer key and will be used in preparing and declaring the result," the NTA said.

According to the NIRF rankings, the top 5 government medical colleges offering MBBS courses are: AIIMS, New Delhi; Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi; Madras Medical College, Chennai; AIIMS Jodhpur; and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.
