How class 12 boards affect NEET exam date 2021 ?
Ideally, NEET exam is conducted after the conclusion of CBSE class 12 board exams. Last year, after two postponements, the NEET UG exam was conducted on September 13, 2020, after the completion of Class 12 board exams on July 15. Any decision on NEET 2021 exam date depends on Class 12 board exam dates. Thus, an update on NEET exam date is expected soon after announcement of Class 12 exam dates in the next few days.
Majority of NEET aspirants are Class 12 students. Delay in board exams and NEET 2021 exam date has created panic and confusion among students. Thus, a clarity on CBSE Class 12 board exams 2021 and NEET exam date would bring some relief to students.
Will NEET 2021 be postponed?
As per the last notification by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NEET 2021 exam date is August 1. There is no official notification on NEET postponement yet. However, factors such as rising COVID-19 cases and postponement of Class 12 board exams are contributing to NEET 2021 postponement.
Along with the exam date notification, the NTA mentioned that the application form of NEET will be available shortly on the official website - ntaneet.nic.in or nta.ac.in. However, the NEET 2021 form fill up date which is usually released in November-December has not been released yet. For the last session, NEET application form was released on December 2 and the process continued for more than one month till January 6. After closing the applications, the NTA usually opens the correction window followed by the release of the NEET UG admit card. The entire process takes at least five months.
At present, the NTA has just two months left to conduct the NEET exam on August 1, 2021. The NEET application form 2021 has not been released yet. Considering the present circumstances, the chances of the NEET exam getting postponed are high.
