Download EBookThe Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued new guidelines for PwBD candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses through NEET UG counselling 2025. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will now have to mandatorily obtain a disability certificate from one of the 16 MCC-designated centres.
The revised PwD guidelines for MBBS admission come days after the National Medical Commission ( NMC ) notified the interim regulations, introducing a self-declaration process. Candidates will have to fill the self-certified affidavits in the prescribed format and approach the designated medical board for verification.
According to the revised guidelines, all candidates with benchmark disabilities, who possess a valid UDID card issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) and meet the NEET UG eligibility criteria will be considered for AIQ seats under the PwD category.
