As the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2026) approaches, aspirants aiming for medical colleges in Karnataka can refer to previous year cut-off trends to predict their admission chances. The closing ranks from NEET UG 2025 counselling can give aspirants an idea of what to expect this year, especially for top government medical colleges in the state. In 2025, Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute remained highly competitive. For the General category, the MBBS closing rank went up to 1299 in round 1. In comparison, candidates under OBC categories saw closing ranks extending beyond 3000 and even crossing 5000 in certain sub-categories.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct NEET UG 2026 on May 3 for around 25 lakh aspirants. The exam will be held in a single shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. Aspirants must carry their NEET admit cards to the exam hall. While the city intimation slips have already been released, the admit cards will be issued on April 26. Details such as exam day guidelines, reporting time, and do’s and don’ts will be mentioned on the admit card.
