NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Design has postponed the date for declaring the NID BDes DAT prelims result 2024. The NID BDes Design Aptitude Test (DAT) prelims result will be declared on April 4 on the official website, admissions.nid.edu. The NID BDes DAT prelims result was scheduled to be released on March 28.
The NID will shortlist candidates on the basis of prelims exam for the NID BDes DAT 2024 Main exam. Students selected for the main exam will be held on April 27 and 28. Students will be able to download the NID BDes DAT main admit card from April 14.
Students who are not satisfied with their marks in the NID BDes DAT 2024 prelims exam can also request for rechecking. The NID said, “The weightage criteria for prelims and mains for preparing the merit list for NID BDes DAT 2024 will be announced later.” The exam is being held for admission into the programmes offered by NIDs in Ahmedabad, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Assam.

Tie-Break policy of BDes DAT Prelims
If candidates get same marks, the NID will use the following tie-break policy:
- Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part B of the DAT Prelims
- If this does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part A of the DAT prelims
- If this still does not break the tie, then both the candidates will be assigned the same rank.
