Candidates seeking admission to BDes and MDes programmes will be able to access the NID DAT 2026 registration form through the NID’s official website at admissions.nid.edu.
Candidates will have to clear NID DAT 2026 prelims, mains exams, followed by a studio test and personal interview, to qualify for admission to various colleges across the country.
The NID DAT 2026 registration form will require candidates email ID, mobile number, along with personal, academic details to complete the registration process. They will also have to upload scanned documents and pay the application fee as part of the registration.

NID DAT 2026 registration details
The NID DAT 2026 is a gateway exam for candidates looking forward to opt for UG, and PG design courses at various institutes, colleges across the country.
General, general- Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes (OBC)- Non Creamy Layer (NCL) category candidates will be required to pay Rs 3,000 as registration fee to appear for the NID DAT 2026 prelims.
Those from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD) and overseas (supernumerary) categories should have to pay Rs 1,500 and Rs 5,000 respectively as part of the registration fee.
According to the eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed Class 12 exam from a recognised board to sit for the NID DAT 2026. For MDes programmes, applicants should have to hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline to be able to apply for the examination process.
