NID MDes Admissions 2025: Round 2 seat allotment registration begins; pay token fee by June 2

The National Institute of Design will allot seats to candidates on the basis of preference of the discipline, submitted at the time of applying online for the MDes courses.

The National Institute of Design (NID) has started its round 2 seat allotment for the Master of Design (MDes) programmes for the academic year 2025-26 today. Candidates can check the seat allotment by entering their login credentials such as email ID and date of birth through the official website at admissions.nid.edu.

Notably, candidates should have to pay a non-refundable token fee and upload documents to confirm their seat allotment for NID MDes programmes before June 2, 2025.

“Depending on the vacant seats after Round-01 of seat allotment, the next eligible candidates will be allotted a seat in the order of merit in their respective category,” as per the official notification.

The institute will allot the seats to candidates on the basis of preference of the discipline, submitted at the time of applying online.

M.Des Round 2 Seat Allotment: Fee, documents

Candidates belonging to general, general-economially weaker section (EWS), Other backward Class- Non creamy layer (OBC-NCL), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) category, should have to pay Rs 30,000 as a non-refundable token fee.

Overseas candidates, on the other hand, will have to deposit Rs 75,000 as non-refundable token fee.

Candidates will have to upload the scanned copies of the original documents by June 2, 2025 as given below. The size of the documents should not exceed 2 MB.

  • Aadhar Card or election ID or Driving License or Pan Card or Passport.
  • Birth certificate or school leaving certificate with date of birth.
  • 10th marksheet
  • 12th marksheet
  • Semester-wise marksheet or consolidated transcript of graduate or diploma programme issued by the university.
  • Graduation degree or certificate issued by the university.
  • If results are awaited for final examination, candidates can upload a self-understanding signed by themselves as well as parents or guardians.
  • Migration certificate issued by the university.
  • Caste certificate, if applicable.
  • Valid passport’s first and last page, if applied under supernumerary overseas category.

Furthermore, candidates will be issued a provisional offer letter of admission on the basis of merit and availability of seats, and to those who have paid the non-refundable token fees, and whose documents have been verified by the institute.
