NIRF 2024 Ranking: Changes
The college category ranking was introduced under NIRF in 2017 and Miranda House , an all women’s college under Delhi University, had been on top ever since.
This year Hindu College, which celebrated its 125th anniversary recently, has secured the top rank. Last year’s third position holder, Presidency College Chennai, failed to make it to the list of top 10 this year.
St.Stephen’s College has managed to figure in the NIRF top 10. Last year it was on the 14th spot. However, no official from the college was present to receive the award. RamaKrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College has also moved to the third position from Rank 8 in NIRF 2023.
Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, a constituent college of DU, has also moved to fifth position from last year’s sixth. However, St.Xavier’s College, Kolkata, has slided one rank to the sixth position this year from the 5th in NIRF 2023.
PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore, is in the seventh spot this year against last year’s fourth. Loyola College Chennai has also slipped one position to Rank 8 from the Rank 7 in NIRF 2023.
