NIT Andhra Pradesh revamps BTech curriculum with new features as part of NEP

NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Technology ( NIT ), Andhra Pradesh, has revamped its BTech curriculum and added new features as part of the implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The Institute is conducting a Symposium I and II under the banner ‘National Conclave on Strategies for implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’ on October 29 and 30, 2021. This seminar was conducted to enable administrative staff, students, researchers and faculty members to obtain awareness on developments attainable upon implementation of NEP in the institute, the official notice read.
CSP Rao, Director of NIT Andhra Pradesh, said, “I am glad to share that the Institute revamped curriculum of UG programmes from 2020-21 academic year onward with good attractive. We are glad that this conclave will give us the best opportunity to discuss in the regard of National Education Policy 2020 and relevant developments in the institute to the stakeholders.”

Congratulating NIT Andhra Pradesh, Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, said, “NEP serves to be the principal guideline for all educational institutions across the country irrespective of the level of education or the discipline pertaining to the courses, or etc. NEP 2020 is categorized into four important parts as: School education, higher education, addressing other key areas such as law, arts, Online and digital education along with discussion on the strategies required to implement the policy to the fullest of its spirits. The second part of the visionary policy deals with the higher education institution such as NIT Andhra Pradesh.”
“The investment on Research & Innovations in India is recorded as 0.69 % of GDP which will be improved in view of NEP,” he added.
Addressing the gathering, Tamilsai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana, and Lt Governor of Puducherry, said, “I am glad to understand that NIT Andhra Pradesh, in spite of being the youngest among all NITs has taken essential steps towards establishment of required infrastructure, offering of lectures to students employing modern day technology and is gearing up towards reaching to the academic expectations as envisioned by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.”
