NSP Scholarship: Last date for extended registration till October 31; apply at scholarships.gov.in
Under the NSP scholarship, 1,00,000 meritorious students will be awarded with provided Rs 12,000 annually.

NEW DELHI : The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) has commenced the registration process pre-matric, post-matric, and higher education scholarship schemes for the academic year 2024-2025. The scholarship is offered on the NSP portal by various central and state governments. Interested and eligible candidates apply online for the NSP Scholarship for the academic yeat 2024-25 at scholarships.gov.in.
As per the latest update, the education ministry has extended registration for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) till October 31, 2024. Candidates applying for the NSP scholarship must fulfill the eligibility criteria and other requirements to be eligible for the scholarship programmme.
Under this NMMSS scheme, 1,00,000 meritorious students whose parental income is not more than Rs 3,50,000 are provided Rs 12,000 per annum ( Rs 1,000 per month) for students of Classes 9 to 12. However, as per the guidelines each state and UT has a fixed quota of scholarships for the concerned age group of Classes 7 to 8.

NSP Scholarship 2024: Eligibility criteria
As per the NSP scholarship eligibility criteria:

The annual household income of the student from all sources should not exceed Rs 3,50,000 (may vary depending on the specific scheme).

Student must have valid caste certificate and their Aadhaar card.

Students must have a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade (relaxable by 5% for SC, and ST students) in the Class 7 exam.

Now, visit the hompage of NSP, scholarships.gov.in

Click on the student’s option available.

Click on the link ‘OTR (One Time Registration)’

Now open the NSP’s homepage login using your credentials.

Fill out the application form and upload the required documents.

Download and keep a printed copy for future reference.
As per the NSP, the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme under the department of school education and literacy, ministry of education, is awarded to meritorious students of economically weaker sections and encourages them to continue their education.
