The testing agency has not yet announced the release date for the JEE Mains 2026 city intimation slip. However, the information brochure says that the city slip will be issued tentatively in the first week of January.

More than 14.5 lakh candidates will be able to download their JEE Mains 2026 session 1 city slip through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Every year around 15 lakh candidates appear for the JEE Mains examination for admission to engineering , architecture, and planning courses at top colleges across the country.
The previous years trend shows that the NTA issued the JEE Mains city intimation slip on January 10 in 2025, January 12 in 2024, January 18 in 2023, and January 14 in 2022.

JEE Mains 2026 results on February 12
Hence, as per this trend, candidates looking forward to appearing for the college entrance test, and awaiting the JEE Main 2026 city intimation slip, can expect it between January 5 and 15.
The JEE Mains 2026 city intimation slip is an important document for candidates appearing for the entrance examination. It informs candidates of the city in which their examination centre has been allotted, enabling them to plan travel and accommodation in advance.
In addition, the NTA will issue the JEE Main 2026 admit cards just three to four days before the examination date. This means, engineering aspirants can expect the admit cards between January 17 and 19.
The computer-based JEE Mains 2026 entrance test will be held in two sessions. The first session will be conducted from January 21 to 30, while the second session will be held from April 2 to 9.
The results for session 1 will be declared on February 12, 2026 for BTech, BPlanning and BArch courses.
“Though every effort will be made to allot a Centre in one of the cities selected by the candidate, the NTA reserves the right to allot a Centre in a city other than the candidate’s choice. Allotment of Centres will be done mostly in one of the preferred cities of the candidates and there will be no human intervention,” the official brochure reads.
