Placements: Highest offer rises 25% at TAPMI, Karnataka

NEW DELHI: The highest salary offer made during campus job placements for a PGDM course in banking and financial services at TA Pai Management Institute rose by 25 percent, the institute said in a statement.
A total of 421 students of the postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) in banking and financial services secured jobs in 102 companies. The highest package offered to a student was Rs 25 lakh, an increase of 25 percent over last year's records.
The salary offered to students post-programme has also increased 2.8 times over their pre-programme salary
Summer internships were converted into full-time jobs for 78 students of whom, 76 accepted the offers. The average salary for this group is Rs 12.90 lakh.
Of the participating recruiters, Banking Financial Services and Insurances, or the BFSI sector, companies naturally made the most offers. They were followed by consulting firms, information technology (IT), analytics and E-commerce. The key recruiters included Bajaj Finserv, Mahindra and Mahindra, HDFC and Tata capital.
Madhu Veeraraghavan, director, TAPMI, said: “TAPMI’s consistent strong placements is a reflection of its academic focus coupled with real-world training which enables students to take up the challenges in the industry and carve a great career for themselves.”
Veeraraghavan further informed that the placements for PGDM for Human Resources program are undergoing and will conclude in the last week of March.
