Plaksha University organises academic conference on artificial intelligence

Plaksha University hosted academicians and industry leaders, with whom, discussions were held on latest advances in AI.
NEW DELHI: Plaksha University organised the second annual academic conference titled ConfAI, on the Mohali campus from March 22 to 24, 2023. The workshop was centred on artificial intelligence (AI), in which the university hosted academicians, industry leaders and representatives of other universities and startups.
The conference was aimed at showcasing the potential of AI and data science in finding effective solutions to various societal challenges. Debates and discussions were held with the academicians, industry leaders and representatives of other universities in the conference, regarding the most recent advances in AI and its use as a means to promote equity in the society.

The conference also explored the fundamental contributions in the areas of AI and data science, including the theory of AI, AI for social-good and techno-philosophy. The conference enabled the students to get a first hand mentorship by the experts in the AI field to chart out career possibilities involving AI in various contexts.
While speaking about the conference, Plaksha university, founding vice-chancellor said: "ConfAI has been an initiative of growing interest that has attracted a large number of contributed research papers, presenting effective solutions to navigate and address complex global problems in the field of healthcare, agriculture and language among others. This year, ConfAI was focused on AI and data science to level up awareness among students of the university on the implications of newer technologies and latest research".
