Engineers require professional accreditation to work in Saudi Arabia: AICTE

The govt of Saudi Arabia make professional accreditation with Saudi Council of engineers mandatory for engineers working in the country.
NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) issues a notice regarding a communication received from the joint secretary of ministry of external affairs about a professional accreditation for engineers working in the country. Interested candidates can apply on the Saudi Council of engineers website- eservices.saudieng.sa.
As per the notice, the government of Saudi Arabia have made the requirement of engineers intending to work in Saudi Arabia to have a mandatory professional accreditation with the Saudi Council of engineers. The engineers will not be able to work in the country if they do not have the said accreditation.

Therefore, AICTE issued a notification to all vice chancellors of technical universities and the directors of AICTE approved institutions to circulate the information among students and faculty in engineering courses who might be seeking employment in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Council of engineers is a professional body in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia that is intended to promote the engineering profession and develop and upgrade its standards and those practicing it.
On employment in engineering in India, prime minister Narendra Modi's launched an initiative called the 'Rozgar Mela'. The union finance minster Nirmala Sitharaman said that the recruitment drive will also give job opportunities to engineering graduates in the country.
In addition, Microsoft expanded its CyberShikshaa programme to upskill 45,000 students and offer jobs to 10,000 learners in the cybersecurity industry.
