Registrations for Indian Innovation Challenge Design Contest (IICDC) 2018 Starts

NEW DELHI, JUNE 21 : Texas Instruments (TI) has announced the start of registrations for the upcoming edition of DST-TI India Innovation Challenge Design Contest (IICDC). Interested students will be able to apply for the contest till August 31, 2018. A dedicated page for TI-IICDC has been launched on the MyGov portal and the students will be able to use the same for contest registration. For the qualifying teams, Ministry of Science and Technology (DST) and Texas Instruments will be extending support with a fund of Rs 8.2 crore. This is a very huge increase as compared to the Rs. 4.14 crore fund provided in the previous editions. Currently, the third edition of DST-TI IICDC is being held.
This contest holds its uniqueness in the partnerships and collaborations that TI has built to create a complete innovation ecosystem for the participants.

Sanjay Srivastava, Director, TI India University Program speaks his thoughts about the contest and explains the main aim of conducting it. “It is the journey of transforming an idea to reality that students value the most. They also acquire immense learning, with rewards along the way, being mentored by leading minds from TI including networking with other student engineers, and winning several cash prizes and certificates”.
IIM Bangalore’s NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) will help incubate the winning teams and support them in the launch of their venture.
In the 2017 edition of the contest, 15,380 engineering students from 965 colleges participated, a 43% growth versus 2016.
