Smart India Hackathon 2024 announces grand finale schedule; begins December 11

The SIH 2024 software edition will begin from December 11 to December 12, 2024, while the hardware edition will be held from December 11 to December 15, 2024.
NEW DELHI : The ministry of education has announced the Smart India Hackathon 2024 dates for the grand finale. As per the latest schedule, the SIH 2024 software edition will begin on December 11 till December 12, 2024, while, the hardware edition will be held from December 11 to December 15, 2024.
Previously, K Sanjay Murthy, the secretary of the department of higher education (DHE), launched the 7th edition of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) on August 8.
The SIH 2024 7th edition represents a diverse array of 202 problem statements contributed by 20 central ministries, 5 state governments, 3 public sector undertakings, and 3 private organisations.
The launch of the event was attended by AICTE chairman, TG Sitharam, and vice chairman, Abhay Jere. Sitharama spoke highly of the programme, and urged the attendees to use the platform to empower innovation and support the "Vikasit Bharat" vision. The programme was sponsored by the Godrej Group.

What is Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024?
Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is an initiative designed to engage students in solving problems. It gives practical solutions to students setting high standards for innovation and entrepreneurship and offers a collaborative approach needed to tackle the most critical challenges.
By encouraging students to participate in hackathons the programme aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application.
