The Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), part of Sikkim Manipal University, has issued the schedule for the Sikkim Manipal Entrance Test (SMET) phase 3 conducted for admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes. The institute will conduct the third phase of the entrance test from June 9 to June 13, 2025.
Eligible candidates can register for the SMET phase 3 exam through the official website at applysmit.in. As per the schedule, the last date to register for the SMIT phase 3 exam is June 7. The exam will be conducted in two sessions each day. The forenoon shift will take place from 10:30 am to 12 pm, and the afternoon shift will be conducted from 3 pm to 4:30 pm.
To be eligible for the SMET phase 3 exam, candidates should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45 per cent marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics taken together. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible with 40 per cent marks. Admission to the BTech programmes is offered through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), Manipal Entrance Test (MET), or the SMET score.
The mock tests for the SMET phase 3 are made available on the official website. Candidates can attempt the SMIT phase 3 mock tests till June 8 and familiarise themselves with the exam pattern. The slot booking for the SMET online test will also be held during the same window.
The SMET 2025 phase 3 result will be declared on June 15, followed by branch choice filling from June 15 to June 17. The institute will finalise branch allotment on June 17, and candidates who are allotted a seat will have to complete the seat booking or provisional admission process between June 18 and June 20.
