SSC CGL 2018 application deadline extended till June 5

NEW DELHI, JUNE 4: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the last date to fill the application form of SSC CGL 2018 till June 5. Earlier, the last for the online registration was June 4, 2018. This means that candidates (who have not filled the application yet) have got one extra day to fill the application. SSC has decided to extend the application deadline by one day due to technical issues on their official website. According to the official notification by Staff Selection Commission, “It has come to the notice of the Commission that some of the applicants have faced technical problems in the filling the application form since today morning. Keeping in view this inconvenience caused to the applicants, the commission has, in the interest of the applicants, decided to extend the last date for filling of online application forms for CGLE, 2018 by one day i.e. till 5:00 PM on 5th June 2018.”

Some candidates have even taken the issue to social media (of encountering technical issues related to the official website not responding properly since the morning of June 4).
Though the exam authority has extended the application last date, however, there is no change in the deadline for application fee payment in offline mode. The application fee can be paid in offline mode till June 7, 2018, provided the challan is generated before 5 pm on June 5. Candidates can make payment online till June 5, 2018.
SSC CGL application form 2018 can be filled in two parts. In Part, I of application form candidates have to provide their basic information. In Part II applicants are required to pay the application fees, upload photograph and signature in the specific dimension and submit the application form.
The application fee is Rs 100 for General and OBC category candidates. Women/SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen category candidates are exempted from paying the application fees. Candidates can pay their fees in both online and offline modes.
The registration process for SSC CGL started on May 5, 2018. In 2017, as many as 30,26,598 candidates had registered for the exam, out of which 15,43,962 candidates had taken the test. SSC CGL exam is conducted for recruitment to Group B and C posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India.
The Tier I exam of SSC CGL 2018 will be conducted on Computer-Based Mode from July 25 to August 20, 2018.
