From results declared in November 2024 onwards, SSC will disclose names, marks, ranks, and contact information of non-recommended candidates up to twice the number of advertised vacancies.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will begin publicly disclosing the details of candidates who appear in the final stage of its recruitment exams but are not recommended for selection. The move is in line with the Government of India’s decision to create a publicly accessible database to help public sector undertakings (PSUs), autonomous bodies, and other user agencies identify suitable candidates for employment.

According to the official notification, this disclosure will be applicable for all recruitment exam results declared by SSC from November 2024 onwards. The information will include the candidate’s name, father’s or husband’s name, date of birth, category, gender, educational qualifications, total marks obtained, rank, complete address, and email ID.
The commission has further clarified that only non-recommended candidates up to two times the number of vacancies notified for any given exam will have their data published, provided they have not opted out at the time of application. Candidates who wish to exclude their details from being shared will be given this choice while filling the application form.
The disclosed information will remain available on the SSC website and may be linked to a centralised government portal. The data will be retained for one year from the date of disclosure. The scheme will not be applicable to SSC Selection Posts Examinations.
SSC asks to retain documents for three Years
The Commission has asked candidates to preserve their application forms and related documents for at least three years after the declaration of the final result, in view of possible future consideration by other recruiting agencies.
SSC also stated that while the data will be made available, it will not be responsible for verifying the authenticity of the information furnished by candidates. The responsibility for verification will lie entirely with the user agencies.
“Besides sharing of the information of non‐recommended candidates for the examinations conducted by the Commission, the responsibility lies on the user agencies to check/ verify the details furnished by the candidates in their applications while picking up candidates not recommended by the Commission and that the Commission will not be responsible in any manner about the details furnished by the candidates in their applications,” the official notice said.
