Study in US: Catholic University of America offers scholarships to Indian graduate students

NEW DELHI: Catholic University of America, based in Washington, USA, is offering scholarships to Indian graduate students to study in the US. The scholarships will cover up to 100 percent of the tuition fee along with assistance with placement for Indian students who wish to study further in the US, said a statement issued by the university on Friday. It has also simplified the application process, requiring just transcripts and English proficiency test scores.
Dean of graduate admissions at the university, Mary Ellen Mahoney said: “Catholic University is a perfect destination for students from India who want a world-class education in high-demand fields …The university has also enhanced the application process, requiring students to submit transcripts and English proficiency test scores only, which provides greater accessibility to students across India and a faster admittance decision to the students.” Catholic University of America is a national university established in 1887 by the Catholic Church. It has 12 schools and 30 research centres and over 5,000 students.

Easier application
Catholic University of America’s statement also says it has adopted an application process which is more convenient for students. The application process at the university just requires transcripts and the English test scores of the students seeking admission. Soon, Catholic university will emerge as an institution with one of the fastest turnaround processes in the US, with only a four-week long turnaround for full application to obtain a US government required I-20.
Catholic University offers numerous programmes in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM courses) including computer engineering, data analytics, emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning. Additionally, courses in arts and sciences, business management, architecture and planning are also offered at the university.
