NEW DELHI, APRIL 4: The Supreme Court of India has dismissed all petitions related to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) paper leak case. The petitions- five in all- had challenged the CBSE's decision to re-conduct the Class 12 Economics and Class 10 Mathematics paper.

A two-judge bench comprising of Justices S.A Bobde and L. Nageshwar Rao observed that CBSE's decision to re-conduct the exams could not be challenged in court as such decisions lie within the purview of the Board. It also said that the students who had filed the petitions would have to appear in the re-examination.

The Board issued a notice last evening cancelling the re-examination of the Mathematics paper.

CBSE has been under fire for alleged leaks of multiple papers, including Class 12 Economics and Class 10 Mathematics. While the exam for Economics paper of Class XII will be re-conducted on April 25, the Board decided against the re-examination of the Class 10 Mathematics paper.

The CBSE said that the decision to not conduct retest for Class 10 Math paper was because there were no indications or impressions of the widespread benefits of leak on students.

Delhi Police has till now arrested two teachers and a coaching centre owner in connection to the paper leak cases.
