Symbiosis Announces SIMC MA (MC) 2018 Result

Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication has announced the result for SIMC MA (MC) 2018 which was conducted in offline mode on January 21, 2018. Candidates can check the result by entering their SIMC ID and password. Those who qualify the entrance exam will be eligible for the next stage of selection for admissions to the M.A in mass communication with specialisation in journalism and mass audio visual. Qualified candidates will have to undergo the written ability test followed by panel interview in the second stage for selection. Thirty seats will be available in each of the specializations offered.
Steps to print scorecard of SIMC MA (MC)
- Enter the SIMC MA (MC) ID No
- Next enter the password to log in
- The score card will be displayed
- Use the print option to print the same.
In case of difficulties in viewing the score card, candidates may have to check the browser settings to disable the pop up blocker. Candidates are advised to print the score card on a A4 size paper . The orientation must be “Portrait” and the top as well as bottom margins must be zero. Care must be taken to keep the header blank.
The list of candidates shortlisted for the next round will be announced by the institute on February 16, 2018. The panel interview and written ability test which form part of the next step of the selection process will be held on February 24 to 25, 2018. SIMC will announce the first merit list on March 13, 2018. Selected candidates will have to pay the admission fee by March 22, 2018 to confirm their admissions. The dates for the orientation programme are not yet announced and are likely to be held in the first week of June 2018.
SIMC MA is offered in two specializations - Journalism which is for students interested in print, broadcast and online and Audio-Visual for students interested in AV production, direction, writing, camera, editing, television and film sectors.
