Tamil Nadu Class 10 board exams to be held between June 1 and June 12

NEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu education minister,r K A Sengottaiyan, on Tuesday announced that board exams for Class 10 will be conducted between June 1 and June 12.
Sengottaiyan, through his official social media account, said that the “necessary arrangements have been made to conduct board exams for Class 10 between June 1 and June 12”.
Class 10 exams for language, English, mathematics and optional language will be conducted on June 1, June 3, June 5 and June 6 respectively. Exams for science, social science and vocational studies will be held on June 8, June 10 and June 12 respectively.
The minister also said that the 36,842 students who missed the final Class 12 board exam on March 24 can give it on June 4. The Class 11 exam that was scheduled on March 26 will be held on June 2.
The Class 10 exams were initially scheduled between March 27 and April 13. The central government had forced all educational institutions to close on March 16 and had enforced a nationwide lockdown on March 25.
The number of people infected with coronavirus has crossed 8,000 in Tamil Nadu.
